Most colleagues will not be eligible for any health benefits through Trinity Health after retirement and should consider applying for Medicare or other health benefits (e.g., individual health insurance through the Marketplace). Contact your local benefit representative to determine if you are eligible for any retiree medical plan. If you are eligible, your local benefit representative will be able to explain how to initiate your retiree medical benefit. If you or a family member are approaching or have reached Medicare eligibility, please visit the Trinity Health Medicare & Social Security resource page at Medicare & Social Security (trinity-health.org). This page contains information on how to access individual Medicare plans, such as Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans that help pay for services and costs not fully covered by Original Medicare. Refer to the Medicare & You handbook, available at Welcome to Medicare | Medicare, for a comprehensive overview of Medicare Parts A and B.
