Trinity Health Names Sheri Shapiro Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
October 15, 2019LIVONIA, MICH., October 16, 2019 --- Trinity Health has appointed Sheri Shapiro as senior vice president and chief strategy officer, effective immediately.
In her new role, Shapiro's responsibilities advance from a focus on mergers and acquisitions to leadership of system-wide strategic planning, business development, and mergers, acquisitions and partnerships. She is also accountable for the Trinity Health Clinical Partnership Program, as well as the system's analytics and strategic planning functions.

"She has been central to several successful negotiations and transactions with health systems, physician groups and other organizations."
Shapiro joined Trinity Health in 2016 as senior vice president for mergers, acquisitions and partnerships and, since then, has cultivated relationships with regional and national health care organizations to help Trinity Health drive acquisitive growth and strengthen its position as one of the nation's largest national health systems. She has been central to several successful negotiations and transactions with health systems, physician groups and other organizations.
Immediately prior to joining Trinity Health, Shapiro served as principal with The Chartis Group, where she advised health systems, including Trinity Health, in strategic planning, physician alignment and population health initiatives and transactions. She has more than 20 years of experience in both health care consulting and industry roles and holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from The University of Michigan.
