Black Doctor.Org (BDO) recently recognized Trinity Health Ann Arbor for providing high-quality care and actively working to address disparities in health care that impact Black communities. This prestigious distinction honors hospitals that provide exceptional care to Black patients. BDO asked 1,000 U.S. Black doctors one important question as part of the selection criteria: “Which hospitals do you trust most with providing quality and equitable care for your family members?” That personal endorsement of the care provided here is a stunning tribute to our colleagues, providers, and everyone who serves our healing mission.

Other key criteria include Quality of Care and Patient Satisfaction Scores; Representation of persons of color and women in senior leadership roles; Initiatives that positively impact urban communities and commitment to equitable care for the Black community.

“Trinity Health Ann Arbor has always been about caring for the people in the communities we serve, regardless of race, religion, or socioeconomic background,” said Alonzo T. Lewis, MHSA, president, Trinity Health Ann Arbor, Livingston, Oakland, and Livonia.

“This award honors the far-reaching benefit that our compassionate colleagues and providers have on our patients and their families.”
