Ray Anderson, Ph.D. leads system-wide strategic planning, business development, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions for Trinity Health. 

Anderson is passionate about Catholic health care. Most recently, Anderson served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Ascension Texas, a 15-hospital integrated health system in central Texas. He started in healthcare after graduating from college as a paramedic in rural Virginia before moving into biomedical research with the National Cancer Institute and then Pfizer before transitioning into management consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he served as a strategic advisor to health care CEOs and senior executives. His roster of clients included academic medical centers, health systems, health plans, research institutions and state and national governments to develop enterprise-wide strategic plans focused on prioritized program development, cross-mission integration and physician engagement strategies. 

Anderson holds an M.B.A. from Duke University and a Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the University of Virginia and is fluent in Spanish and has business proficiency in French.
